04 / The idea

An early experiment in connected fitness

SufferHub set out to encourage healthier, more active lives by rewarding healthy behavior. The premise was simple: make workouts into games, add positive incentives, and help people stay on the path to a healthier life.

It also asked a question that still feels current: could the growing volume of GPS, speed, distance, heart-rate, and power data be useful for more than reviewing a single workout in isolation?

“It’s time to start having more fun while working out.”— The original SufferHub site
